Requirements for attendees

  1. Basic knowledge of Autodesk Inventor;
  2. Autodesk Inventor and Woodwork for Inventor installed. Every training session will be followed by homework tasks, therefore you’ll need tools to do it and practice. Trials are perfectly acceptable for this purpose. If you have any questions about Woodwork for Inventor trial, please write us an email to info@woodworkforinventor.com
  3. Attendee must be an employee of a furniture design company so the gained skills could be used immediately. This training is not designed for hobbyists, DIY’ers, home users, etc.
  4. All information must be filled and correct. In case it will be filled with false information, the registration will be canceled without further notice.

 

Woodwork for Inventor training themes

Day 1

  • Definition of the workflow in Woodwork for Inventor;
  • Setting up the Inventor to work with Woodwork for Inventor project;
  • Skeletal design of a furniture block;
  • Placing, and configuring of joinery;
  • Assignment of Materials, defining grain direction and oversizes;

Day 2

  • Converting previously build the model to an iBox;
  • Making a concept design of the main assembly where the iBOX will be used;
  • Using the previous model as iBox in the main assembly context;
  • Finalizing assembly;

Day 3

  • Material mapping with ERP data;
  • Definition of a BOM template and BOM generation;
  • Definition of a Drawing template and Drawing generation;
  • The basic explanation of CNC configuration and generation of NC programs;
  • Copying of existing assembly to make changes;
