Maintenance plan / Upgrades

THE ESSENCE OF MAINTENANCE PLAN AND ITS BENEFITS TO THE HOLDER

  1. Maintenance plan grants the holder the right to receive a new software version free of charge.
  2. The software maker has an obligation to release a new version of the software each year.
  3. The maintenance plan is linked to a specific software license held by the user.
  4. Depending on the user’s request, the maintenance plan period can be 1 year, 2 years or 3 years.
  5. Maintenance plan for different periods of validity grant their holders the right to receive consecutively released software versions as long as the maintenance plan remains in effect.
  6. The maintenance plan commences on the date when the software maker confirms the maintenance plan purchase order.
  7. If, during the maintenance plan period, the software maker fails to release a new software version (force majeure) and the maintenance plan has expired, the software license remains eligible to receive a new software version in future.

PURCHASING AND RENEWING THE MAINTENANCE PLAN

  1. The maintenance plan may be purchased together with the software license or separately for the user’s current software license for which maintenance plan has not been yet obtained.
  2. A valid software license maintenance plan may be renewed if less than 90 days remain before its expiration.
  3. The start date of the renewal of the valid maintenance plan is from the expiry date of the valid maintenance plan.
  4. The renewal price for the valid maintenance plan is the same as the price of the maintenance plan.
  5. The expired software license maintenance plan may also be renewed.
  6. The start date of the renewal of the expired license is from the expiry date of the expired maintenance plan.
  7. The renewal of the expired maintenance plan may be purchased within a year after the expiry date of the expired maintenance plan until the date the software maker releases a new software version.
  8. The renewal price for the expired maintenance plan is the same as the price of the expired maintenance plan.
  9. If the expired maintenance plan is not renewed within 30 days of the date of it expiry, the price of the expired maintenance plan shall be higher than the previous price of the expired maintenance plan.

RENEWING SOFTWARE WITHOUT A MAINTENANCE PLAN

  1. Only those users shall receive a new software version who have a valid maintenance plan for their design software license at the time of the release of the new software version (Except clause 7 of the section entitled THE ESSENCE OF THE MAINTENANCE PLAN AND ITS BENEFITS TO THE HOLDER).
  2. The user who does not have a valid maintenance plan for the earlier software version license at the time of the release of the new software version, may also receive a new design software version by purchasing an upgrade to the earlier software version.
  3. The upgrade to the earlier software version may be purchased together with or without a maintenance plan.
  4. The price of the upgrade to the earlier software version is lower than the price of the new software version but higher than the price of maintenance plan.
